Pig farm vaccination note, not all vaccines are absolutely harmless, there may be poison
The disease resistance of the newly born piglets is indeed poor, but as long as the lactation ability of the sow is normal and the milk quality of the sow is normal
The first case: newborn piglets
The disease resistance of the newly born piglets is indeed poor, but as long as the lactation ability of the sow is normal and the milk quality of the sow is normal, then do not vaccinate the piglets prematurely (unless there is any terrible epidemic in the local area). There are three reasons:
1, as long as the piglets can eat the sow's milk in time, then they can obtain maternal antibodies from breast milk, so as to avoid the invasion of the disease;
2. The immune response of piglets born not long ago is also relatively poor, even if the effect of vaccination is not very good;
3. Premature vaccination of newborn piglets may cause stress, which is also very dangerous for piglets.
The second case: just vaccinated pigs
Many people may not know that vaccines can interact with each other. If two different vaccines are injected into a pig at a short interval, neither vaccine may be effective because the different vaccines affect each other's antibody formation. So if a pig has been vaccinated with a certain vaccine, be sure to wait a few days, do not immediately inject another vaccine. You can't eat hot tofu in a hurry.
The third case: already sick pigs
What factors are related to the success rate of vaccination? In addition to the quality of the vaccine itself, it is the health status of the pig itself. If the pig is already sick or in a particularly bad condition at the time, then do not inject the vaccine, because even if the immune response is very poor, it is difficult to form the expected antibodies. Even because the injection of the vaccine itself requires an injection, it will increase the probability of stress in sick pigs. If stress occurs at this time, there is a great chance that the sick pigs will die.
The fourth situation: pregnant sows
In fact, the vaccine itself is a virus, of course, is a relatively weak virus. However, even if it is a weak virus, there is a certain chance of causing stillbirth or miscarriage in pregnant sows. Even if the sow has no miscarriage or stillbirth, a handful of premature births will occur. The quality of piglets is usually relatively low and the mortality rate will be relatively high. So our suggestion is that if you want to be immunized, it is best to inject the vaccine 30 days before the sow is breeding, so as to achieve the ideal immune effect.
